Transfer Out Request Form

If you are accepted to a new school and would like to transfer, you must also transfer your SEVIS record (I-20). Complete this form to request to transfer your SEVIS record to the new school. You will need the acceptance letter from the new school to complete this request. Please allow 3-5 days for us to process your request. Make sure you have decided to attend that university before submitting your request. You cannot submit another form to change your mind (schools) later. Once a SEVIS record is transferred, it is no longer under OCC's control. If you still are not sure what school you want to attend. Wait, but note that your SEVIS record must be transferred to a new institution within 60 days from the last day of your classes at Orange Coast College.

If you are still waiting for decisions from other universities and have not made your decision please wait to submit this form. You have a 60 (55 with processing time) day grace period to make this decision (counted from the last day you attend classes at OCC). Once you submit this form and your transfer is processed, we may not be able to undo your transfer!

OPT Student

If you are currently on OPT, please be aware that your OPT will end on the day we release your SEVIS record to the new school and you must stop working.
OPT students also have a 60 day grace period from the last day of your OPT. You must transfer your record within the grace period. You cannot work during the grace period.
